The Four Seasons Hotel in London is situated just a stroll away from Hyde Park and has a unique location in Londons west end. The location of my Internship was part of making it a fantastic and memorable experience. I spent in total six months in the Hotels Room Service department, which is quite a big department compared to other hotels. I gained great experience of the overall running of a five star hotel, through the work as a room service waiter. As a room service waiter serving guests in their room was one of my main tasks, using their name and certain standardized steps was part of completing this objective. I trust to say that my internship has been a very successful experience through nice colleagues, great work experience and a fantastic location.
Project 2028
The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. proudly celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2008. Established in 1928 by a group of influential and forward-thinking European hoteliers, The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. is the prestigious luxury hospitality organization representing nearly 450 of the world’s finest hotels, resorts and spas. Tradition, authentic luxury experiences, and customer satisfaction are the foundations of the outstanding success and exceptional reputation the Leading brand has achieved over the past 8 decades.In order to further meet our guests’ high expectations, and to anticipate the demands of the sophisticated consumer in the years to come, we invite all students of the Leading Hotel Schools of the World to become part of our 80th anniversary celebratory contest: honor Leading’s past and look towards the future: project 2028
We challenge you to use your imagination, vision and knowledge to design the luxury hotel room of the future. The most creative project, which reflects our unique values and combines them with innovative elements and future inventions, will win the opportunity to enjoy a weekend stay at one of our luxurious member hotels. In addition to a descriptive text component (maximum 20 pages), you can illustrate your future hotel room with PowerPoint, hand- or computer-based drawings, as well as fabric samples for furniture, etc.
