Leading Hotel Schools of the World (LHSW) provides an outstanding opportunity for hospitality programs worldwide. It provides each member school with a worldwide network of leading hospitality programs and, of course, access to nearly 450 Leading Hotels of the World (LHW). It means for the schools unique international partnerships such as work and study programs at hotels and schools around the world. It means for the schools the opportunity to tap into the resources of other programs for sharing and developing courses with the entire network of LHSW. What LHSW offers each school is the opportunity to achieve true cultural immersion for its students and this is so crucial today with the hospitality and tourism industry being the world’s single largest industry.

Every educator is concerned about the quality of job placements its students receive. LHSW raises the career prospects for our students by allowing them to gain experience in some of the best hotels of the world, and through the Career Platform of LHSW it allows our students direct access to employment with member hotels of LHW. The focus of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Niagara University is on practical industry applications. LHSW brings this practical international focus to our students as noted above and also brings it to our faculty through customized training programs that LHSW member schools offer for LHW member properties worldwide. It is no wonder that at the sixth annual hospitality awards in Paris, France in 2005 that LHSW was honored with best partnership award. LHSW bridges the gap between industry and academe. At Niagara University we continuously seek opportunities to work with our partner schools and continuously seek opportunities to work with member hotels through internships, jobs, and training programs.
